Our Coaching Services

Comprehensive one-on-one coaching and programming for fencers at any stage. We cater to youth fencers 12 years old and up, adults and veterans trying to stay healthy for the sport, and serious competitors who want to maximize their performance. We coach all weapons (saber, epee, and foil) and all levels from local tournaments to national team members working towards the Olympics.

To begin, we collect a thorough list of information specific to the client to put together their baseline program. We begin with a questionnaire to cover any injury history, equipment access, an ideal training frequency, any strengths and weaknesses that specifically need to be addressed, and more. From there we pair the client with their ideal coach who matches their specialization and write the initial program. We typically program in 4 week blocks, however this may vary depending on the individual. All coaches are fencers and we ensure that you are getting direct individualized attention from the coach you are paired with (no "ghost" coaching).

For those who want the full-on coaching service, we will do a weekly check-in to discuss how the training week went and will evaluate recovery, performance, feedback, and make any necessary changes to the program. We will also review training footage and provide feedback on technique, execution, and anything the client may want input on. Clients will have direct message access to their coach throughout the week for any questions that may pop up. We encourage a high level of communication and strive to establish a relationship with each fencer. We are working together through this whole process.

Questions? Answers.

Who is this for?
Competitive fencers of all ages who have solid technique and want to take their athleticism to the next level. If your fencing coach has you covered on the strip and you need someone to make you faster, stronger, and better conditioned — that's us.
What equipment do I need?
Programs are customized to what you have. Some clients train in full gyms, others work with just bands and kettlebells at home. We ask about your equipment during onboarding and build your program around it. A minimum of some basic equipment is needed, but a full gym is not required.
I'm a parent — can my child do this?
Yes. We work with youth fencers regularly. Programs are age-appropriate and tailored to their development level, competitive calendar, and goals. You'll have direct communication with the coach throughout.
How is this different from a premade program?
Premade programs are great templates. 1-on-1 coaching means your program is built specifically for you — your strengths, weaknesses, schedule, equipment, and competition dates. Plus you have a coach watching your progress and adjusting in real time.
How much does it cost?
Custom programs start at $133 (our 3-month custom plan is $400, with your third month free). Full 1-on-1 coaching with weekly check-ins, video reviews, and calls is quoted to your goals — fill out the quote form above and we'll send exact pricing.
Is there a contract?
No long-term contracts. Plans run in terms (for example, a 3-month custom plan), and you choose whether to continue when they're up.
